Brit Para #48 a leather drawstring and attachedBrit Para #48 The shell is a Royal Armoured Corps (RAC) Helmet with a stainless steel band around the rim. There are no factory stamps evident. When acquired it was painted in probably its original olive drab which was faded and weathered. The shell was stripped to bare metal, converted to a MkII para, primed then painted in dark olive drab with a textured outer. This helmet has been fitted with an imported reproduction para liner from SOF in Wales
